2

Remains of a stately Italianate mansion, razed during WWII, with a restaurant & landscaped gardens.
Located at the heart of what was once 440 hectares of sugar plantation, The Ruins is exactly what its name connotes: the ruins of a love affair that was cut a little too short, and a bittersweet reminder of a bygone era. The story of The Ruins started with Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson in the 1900s.

3

The Balay Negrense, also as Victor Fernandez Gaston Ancestral House is a museum in Silay City, Negros Occidental in the Philippines, showcasing the lifestyle of a late 19th-century Negrense sugar baron. It is notable for being the first museum to be established in the province of Negros Occidental.

The view of the Negros Occidental province and even Panay Island will leave nature lovers amazed. Aside from a regular swimming pool, Campuestohan Highland Resort also has a four-lane wave pool. The resort also has a variety of rides for thrill-seekers.

5

Cinco De Noviembre marker or the Farmacia Locsin was owned by Don Leonardo de la Rama Locsin that served as a secret collection booth for the donations used for the revolution of Negros. Instead of donors name and the amount donated, he recorded it as a name of medicine and the grams meant the amount of money donated. In this event Negrenses prove their kills in tricking Spaniards while establishing a functioning government in a street corner.

6

The Capitol Park and Lagoon is a provincial park located in Bacolod, Negros Occidental, in the Philippines. One of the features of the park are matching sculptures depicting a woman standing alongside a water buffalo and that of a man pulling another water buffalo

7

The San Diego Pro-cathedral, formerly known as the San Diego Parish Church or the St. Didacus Parish Church before its declaration as a pro-cathedral in 1994, is an early 20th-century Roman Catholic church in Silay City, Negros Occidental in the Philippines.

8

The prisoners helped in the construction of this historical church. This San Sebastian Cathedral is not an ordinary chapel. In the morning, it is a church that allows everyone to worship The Most High. At night, it becomes a stunning piece of artwork with its brilliant illumination.

9

Tower commemorating Pope John Paul II’s visit in 1981 with educational info & an observation tower.
John Paul II was the first non-Italian pope in 455 years. He travelled abroad extensively in an effort to promote greater understanding between countries and religions, and he campaigned against political oppression, violence, and materialism. He survived an assassination attempt in 1981.
