About this experience

Explore Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius on a day trip and relax with the organization made in advance. In this tour you will wander around the ruins of ancient Pompeii and then climb Mount Vesuvius up to 1000mt high!

First, however, we will make you make a culinary stop at the Cantine del Vesuvio! The whole tour will be carried out by private NCC transport. The meeting place will be established after booking and will be the one most convenient for you. You can leave from Positano, Amalfi or Ravello. we will agree on the precise location after booking. You can decide to buy the tour with or without a dedicated tour guide. The driver will pick you up by luxury car or minivan, the tour will be private.

Stop 1

With this tour you will explore Pompeii. Pompeii is known all over the world for being the city that remained buried under the volcanic ash after the eruption of Vesuvius, in fact today it looks like one of the largest and best preserved complexes of ruins. In Pompeii you will stay for 2 hours and walk through the historic streets to see the old Roman baths, villas and forum.

Stop 2

At the cellars of Vesuvius we will stop for a lunch and a wine tasting. Lunch includes:

Appetizer with Vesuvian products: salami, provolone, casatiello, roasted eggplant, salted ricotta, bread with oil and Vesuvian spices, Campania ham and bruschetta (prepared with bread baked in a wood oven and piennolo cherry tomatoes) served with Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio SUPERIORE Bianco DOP, Rosato DOP and SUPERIORE Rosso DOP

First: durum wheat spaghetti with piennolo cherry tomatoes sauce and basil served with Lacryma Christi Riserva (80% piedirosso and 20% aglianico aged between 18 and 24 months in oak barrels French)

Dessert: Neapolitan pastiera (typical dessert based on ricotta, wheat and candied fruit) served with Capafresca Spumante Rosato and Passito Bianco IGT

Stop 3

With this tour we will make you experience the thrill of climbing one of the most famous peaks in the world: "Vesuvius!". The climb is a bit tiring, but the route is without any obstacles. Once you reach the summit at 1000mt high you can see your gaze in the crater: here you will admire the fumaroles! You will have a strange feeling when you still see smoke coming out of the crater of the volcano. On the summit you can stop to buy a tarallo and a glass of wine and admire Pompeii and Naples from above. It will be an unforgettable experience.
