Our first stop is the view point near the small village of Majkovi, located on the hills overlooking the famous Elaphiti Islands. This stop offers the most stunning view of the entire region, where you can see the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic Sea and a view from Dubrovnik on the east side to the Mljet Island national park and Pelješac peninsula on the west.
Next, we’ll visit the charming town of Ston, known for its historic city walls and the oldest salt factory in Europe. The walls of Ston are the longest fortress system in Europe, stretching for over 5,5 kilometers (remaining of the original 7 kilometers), and they were built in the 14th century to protect the town from invaders. We’ll take a break here to explore the walls and learn about the history and culture of this fascinating town.
After visiting Ston, we will go to the bay of Mali Ston and experience the irresistible taste of oysters, a delicacy that has been cherished for centuries. Tracing its roots back to the Roman period, oyster farming has been an integral part of Mali Ston Bay. Few families have been in this business for generations, and we take pride in offering you an authentic oyster tasting experience like no other.
