About this experience
Do you love culture and do you want to know more about the locals and their habits? It might be an option to spend a day in a Mayan community in that case! During this day you will learn a lot about the traditions, customs and culture of the Mayas. You will also be able to cook ´Pollo PiBil¨.
At the end of the day we will snorkel and swim in a wonderful cenote located in this magical place.

Arrival at the Community of the Mayas. You will be welcomed by the residents of ¨la Casa de las Mujeres¨. Learn how to cook a typical meal of this region ¨Pollo PiBil¨ (roasted chicken). The chicken is roasted underground, by using hot stones. While the chicken is been cooked we will explore the Maya community. We will visit ¨the call Huerta¨, where we can participate with some activities such as: planting plants or vegetables. Return to la Casa de las Mujeres, where we can finally taste the delicious ¨Pollo PiBil´. The dish would be served with fresh hand made tortillas.

We say goodbye to the community and go to cool down in a refreshing cenote.
