Our tour ends here. An on-site museum guide will take you on a tour of this Pan-African museum near downtown Dakar. The 14,000 square metre, 4-storey thematic building faces the Grand Théâtre National. Its architecture is notably inspired by the impluvium huts of Casamance, in southern Senegal, and Great Zimbabwe. The structure is intended to be "a small round hut, very common in Africa", here redesigned to introduce daylight into all the museum's spaces. A visit not to be missed!
