About this experience

On Monday 22 July 1889, a farmer's wife and her daughter find two bodies in the forest. A 21-year-old woman shot through the right ear and a 35-year-old man shot through the palate.

Although the bodies are badly decomposed, it is not long, before they are identified as the Swedish lieutenant Sixten Sparre and the famous line dancer Elvira Madigan.

Why did Elvira have to die?
The Mystery of Elvira Madigan is a historical true-crime audio walk in Tåsinge, where you, Sixten, and Elvira go on the last walk of their lives. From the beautiful Valdemar Castle to the dark depths of Nørreskoven, where the famous couple met death.
With the help of documented witness accounts, we take a closer look at the century-old mystery of Elvira Madigan: Why did the line dancer's life end so early and so tragically?
