Stop 1

A world-renowned temple of Lord Vishnu. This 79 feet high temple was built by Maharana Jagat Singhji in 1651. It is owned and managed by the royal family of Udaipur.

Stop 2

The largest palace in Rajasthan, It is a white marble structure standing majestically on a hill surrounded by walls. Started by Udai Singh, this enormous edifice 30.4 meters high and 244 meters in length was subsequently added on to by later rulers. The entrance to this Palace is through Hathi Pol (the Elephant gate) along the main street of the old city. The Bara Pol, or the Great gate, brings you to the first court leading to the Tripolia gate which has eight carved marble archways or torans.

"Gardens of the Maids of Honour" was laid out for a group of forty-eight young women attendants who accompanied a princess to Udaipur as a part of her dowry. The gardens set below the embankment of the Fatehsager lake have beautiful lotus pools, marble pavilions and elephant-shaped fountains.

This is the older palace built by Rana Jagat Singh in 1620. It also served as the asylum of Prince Khurram (later Emperor Shahjehan). It is also the place where the European families were sheltered by Maharana Sarup Singh during the upheaval of 1857.

Situated on the bank of Lake Pichola and incorporating the majestic Gangaur Ghat, this Haveli was built by the then Prime Minister of Mewar in the second half of the 18th century.

This fine lake was originally built by Maharana Jai Singh, in 1678 AD. Because of excessive rains. the old dam was washed away and Maharana Fateh Singh built the present embankment.

Originally intended to be an astronomical centre, It later became a monsoon palace and hunting lodge. It affords a breathtaking view of the Mewar countryside.
