Ready to leave the mountains behind and go to the beach? This shared transport is an easy, secure and stress-free way to get from Monteverde to Tamarindo. Forget driving, confusing bus schedules or planning: Just sit back and enjoy the ride!

You will travel in a comfortable air-conditioned minivan with ample space for your luggage (and your adventurous spirit). The journey takes between 3 and 4 hours, depending on traffic and weather.

Along the way, you will enjoy a mixture of landscapes: lush green hills, small rural villages and the warm and open landscape of Guanacaste. We’ll also make a short stop halfway to go to the bathroom, eat something or just stretch your legs.

Your trip starts comfortably from your hotel or from a pre-arranged meeting point in the Monteverde or St. Helena area. You will be asked to be ready a few minutes before the scheduled time, as the service is shared and you may pick up other passengers from nearby hotels.

The Journey

The trip takes you from the cool, mountainous Monteverde region to the North Pacific coast, specifically to Tamarindo, Guanacaste. Along the way, you will enjoy diverse landscapes: from cloud forests and green hills, through rural areas, to the sunny plains of the Guanacaste region.

A short stop will be made halfway (approximately in Cañas or Limonal) so that passengers can go to the bathroom, stretch their legs or buy something to eat.

Your experienced tour driver will ensure that the journey is as comfortable as possible, taking the best routes available depending on weather and traffic conditions.
