Mikumi National Park lies alongside the Northern border of Africa's biggest Game Reserve - the SELOUS – forming a unique ecosystem. The open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain, the fashionable centrepiece of Mikumi, draw frequent comparisons to the more famous Serengeti Plains. Some spotted lions survey their grassy kingdom, and the Zebra, Giraffes, Elephants, Wildebeest, Impala, and Buffalo herds migrate across the park.
This tour starts from Zanzibar airport at 07h00 and arrives at Mikumi Airstrip at 08h00, received by our safari guide. Directly you will start a safari game drive touring the game-rich area of Mkata plains. The plain is very famous for its concentrations of wildlife. Also, visiting the famous Hippo pool whereby many come to drink water.
Hot lunch during lunchtime then proceeds with your journey exploring the African bushes before returning to the airstrip at around 15h30 for your flight back to Zanzibar.
