Stop 1

After 20 minutes we will arrive at the famous Culebrillas ravine, a virgin quarry not worked by man, which has an exceptional beauty. We will have a 20-minute walk crossing a small canyon which is highly recommended for photographs due to the incredible views. At the end we will see engravings of the first inhabitants who crossed this beautiful place such as the Wari.
Finally, we return to the historic center of Arequipa.

After 45 minutes we will arrive at the famous Añashuayco Quarries, an emblematic site for the extraction of volcanic rock, widely used in colonial times and today for the construction of the main monuments and homes of Arequipa. We will have a spectacular view of the quarries with walls more than 30 meters high. In this place our official guide will tell us all the history and characteristics of this beautiful place. We will have time for photographs since the locals made spectacular carvings on the ashlar walls. Free time to take personal and/or group photos.
