From Taormina we will travel towards Catania and then take the motorway towards Palermo, crossing the center of Sicily with an enchanting panorama.
About an hour before reaching Palermo lies Cefalù, a small seaside village with an enchanting historic center characterized by narrow streets, paved with pebbles from the beach and the limestone of the Rocca di Cefalù.
We will visit the Cathedral, begun in 1131 by the Norman King Roger, where the interior of the building is covered with Byzantine mosaics from the 1200s and present the image of Christ Pantocrator in the apse. We will walk along the entire Main Street, Corso Ruggero, and then contemplate the beauty of the medieval wash house.
