One of the Seven Wonders of the World, Chichen Itza is Mexico's most-visited archaeological site, a magnificent display of the advanced civilization of the Mayan people and the ceremonial center of the Yucatan Peninsula.

Stop 1

In the Yucatan Peninsula there is a large network of aquifers that have been formed millions of years ago, when the peninsula was submerged in the sea; and when the porosity of these ancient reefs was exposed, they allowed the permeability of the rain, thus creating these wonderful natural spectacles known as cenotes.

The word comes from the Mayan word "dzonot" which means water cave. And they were of great importance for the Mayan civilization in ceremonial rites because they were considered portals to the underworld. As well as for the Mexicas Mictlán, for the Mayans Xibalbá.

Immerse yourself in the sacred world offered by this beautiful Cenote, a window to the past where you will find the perfect balance of harmony and adventure.

Chichen Itza Differentiate itself from other Mayan citie by introducig the cult of thee god kukulcan, the feathered serpent.

Chichén Itzá: (Chi-ch'en Itzá) means at the edge of the well of the Itzáes. Chichen Itza was one of the most important city-states in pre-Hispanic America and is one of the most visited archaeological sites in Mexico today.

The main pyramid, better known as the pyramid of Kukulcán or El Castillo, is an exact three-dimensional calendar, with the number of days, weeks, months and years, which we use to this day, perfectly represented throughout its structure. It is the most representative vestige of the Mayan culture.
