My harbor cruise will start from the Harborage at Ashley Marina D-29. From my slip we will safely navigate out and under the James Island connector Bridge. We will cruise by water down the Ashley river passing by the City Mega dock where the largest and most spectacular vessels are docked! We will then pass by our local coast guard station and the White Point Battery, a very popular tourist destination. For our next leg, we travel out the South Channel towards Fort Sumter and old fort Johnson. get close to castle Pinckney and some rock out cropping that protects the harbor for shipping traffic. We will return back through the North channel passing by Shem creek and Castle Pickney. From Charleston Harbor, we will turn up the Wando river and pass under the tallest bridge on the East coast, the Ravel bridge. We concluded trip passing by water front park and the Harbor pilots office. We return back at slip.
Ashley Marina front gate or round table inside the gate at fuel dock. Its best to ride share (uber) here because visitor spaces are limited.
