Detailed itinerary

1

This great adventure begins at 4:00 a.m. with the pick up from your hotel in Cusco aboard our transport.

2

We will start by heading to Mollepata, where we will stop by to have breakfast and enjoy the mountains in the morning light. This is a great opportunity to take some memorable photos.

3

Arriving at Soraypampa, we will begin our trek towards the Humantay Lagoon.

4

Remember that you will be walking on very stony ground and using a club is a great idea. Take your time, walk slowly, get some rest and try to drink a lot of fluids as you will be at high altitude so take things easy. Please, do not take pastries on the road and never litter on the road.

After the effort, you will enjoy the most incredible restart. Hidden among the rocky landscape, the impressive Humantay Lagoon gradually appears. This beautiful turquoise colored water originates from the same snows that melt and come down in the morning. To get the best views you can make an extra effort and climb a little more up the rocky slopes that are around. The higher you get, the more turquoise the water will look and you will be able to contemplate the panorama.

It is so close to the mountains, it will move you and you will understand why they are so sacred in the Andean culture. Our guide will perform a small ritual and thank nature.

5

After the visit to the Humantay Lagoon we will return with a lot of city along the path until we reach our transport and return to Mollepata where we will enjoy a delicious lunch included in the tour.

6

Finally after enjoying our lunch we will be returning to Cusco around 5:00 p.m. and we will leave you at the door of your accommodation in Cusco.
