About this experience

Turning Streets of Chester Into an Adventure Playground! Get a unique perspective of the city centre on this self-guided, interactive treasure hunt. It's the best way to explore the city!

On your adventure, unlock a hidden trail by finding clues, solving puzzles and completing challenges, earning points along the way.

During your Quest, not only discover the city's highlights but explore hidden gems, learn some fun facts about the places you visit and see things that most people just pass by.

As the activity is all self-guided through the GQA app, you can start your Quest when you want (must be played during daylight hours), there are no set starting/ending times. No groups to follow.

You can go at your own pace, stopping for longer in one location, taking a break or having a snack in one of the many cafes and pubs along the trail OR you can make it a race and try to get to the top of the city leaderboard!

Meeting point

Your self-guided Quest will begin in front of Chester Town Hall on Northgate Street across from the Cathedral. Ensure you have downloaded the Go Quest Adventures app and entered your redemption code that will be sent to you. You can start your Quest at any time.

Important notes

TO ACCESS YOUR QUEST, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:

Your Redemption Code can be found under the Bar Code on your ticket. It will begin with the letters RC.

Starting Location: Chester Town Hall on Northgate Street across from Chester Cathedral (///thigh.moth.sobs).
Ending Location: Your Quest will return you to the same location.
Please note, one location closes at 6:00pm, so it is recommended to start your Quest by 4:00pm.

Things To Bring With You:

• Fully charged mobile device! It might be a good idea to bring a charger or battery pack with you just in case.

• Paper and pen to help you work out puzzles.

• Comfortable shoes and weather appropriate clothing (it is an outdoor adventure).

• We’ve added what3words addresses within the app to make it easier to find Quest locations when using map hints. It may be helpful to download this app however, it is not required.

To Redeem Your Code:
Each team member needs to download the Go Quest Adventure app and create a profile. You can find the App both on the App Store and the GooglePlay Store.

Choose a Quest Leader who will be responsible for inputting answers into the app. Once inside the app, click ADD QUEST from the Your Quests page. Enter the Redemption Code and the Quest will be added to Your Quests page. Open the Quest and follow the instructions.

Add Players:
Quest Leaders can invite other players to have read only access to the game to play along. Team players should click on ADD QUEST on their own device and then enter the code that will be displayed on the Quest Leader’s mobile device once inside the game. TEAM MEMBERS SHOULD NOT ENTER THE REDEMPTION CODE FROM ABOVE.
