Detailed itinerary

1

Nestled in the cool hills of Nuwara Eliya, the Damro Labookellie Tea Factory is one of Sri Lanka’s oldest and most scenic tea estates. Visitors can explore lush green tea plantations, watch the traditional tea-making process inside the factory, and enjoy a fresh cup of Ceylon tea at the hillside tea lounge. The estate also offers breathtaking views and a chance to shop for premium teas directly from the source

2

Perched among the misty hills of Ramboda, between Kandy and Nuwara Eliya, Blue Field is a charming tea estate with sweeping views. Founded in 1921, it grows high-grown Ceylon tea at about 1,285 metres (≈4,200 ft) above sea level.

Visitors can walk through neatly terraced tea bushes, see tea-pickers at work, tour the factory to witness the journey from leaf to cup — withering, rolling, drying and sorting. Afterwards relax in the on-site tea lounge or café, enjoy fresh tea and local treats, and browse the gift shop for estate-grown teas

Built in 1894 during the British colonial era, the red-brick Nuwara Eliya Post Office is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Resembling an old Tudor-style cottage, it still functions as a post office today, offering visitors a glimpse into colonial architecture and a chance to send a postcard from the “Little England” of Sri Lanka.
