Just a 2-minute drive from the port of Eden’s and is one of the best whale-watching vantage points along the Sapphire Coast. With stunning views over Twofold Bay, Nullica Bay, and the surrounding rugged coastline, scan for humpback whales as well as sea eagles, albatross, dolphins, seals, and of course the legendary and rare killer whales.
Drive 10 min to Cocora Beach, it's the perfect for beachside BBQs with the family, short walks and safe swimming. The beach is pet-friendly. For a glimpse of Aboriginal heritage and the experience of treading an ancient pathway, we will discuss the Bundian Way Story Trail.
Drive 1 hr to Ben Boyd Tower. Follow this gentle walking track and boardwalk around the imposing Boyds Tower. Find out about Benjamin Boyd, who built Boyds Tower only to never see it commissioned as a lighthouse.
Take a good look at the historic tower to see a missing section displaced by lightning. You can also see Boyd’s name inscribed on the crest.
Nearby, you can visit two lookouts to see superb views – one over the Pacific Ocean and the other over Twofold Bay. If you’re there during whale watching season (June - November) you will probably see whales performing their ocean acrobatics in Twofold Bay. Bring a picnic along to enjoy at the informal picnic area.
Drive 30 min to check out the historic try-works, where blubber was processed, and learn all about the whaling operation. Walk a few steps to the beach to enjoy a picnic, swim, or just feel the sand between your toes.
This is the perfect spot for our picnic lunch that includes tea, coffee, GF frittata, FG sweets, and fruit with special dietary needs catered upon request.
Drive 1hr to the short, flat, 500m walk offers a bird’s-eye view of the Pinnacles — its white sands mark the level of an ancient water table, while the red gravel clay above is rust (iron oxide). There are two lookouts with views south to Lennards Island and north to Haycock Point
