Detailed itinerary

1

Our first stop on our tour of the Joshua Tree National Park is Quail Springs where you will get to walk around some of the oldest metamorphic rocks in the park. These rocks are said to be 1.7 billion years old and you will be amazed by the surreal rock formations you see.

2

Banana Cracks is a popular Rock climbing area with large rock formations that are amazing to look at. We will do a short stop here and take a walk around. Good place for some photos and a quick mediation or walk. Enjoy a moment of silence and listen to the nature as you gaze out into the surreal wonders of Joshua Tree National Park.

3

The Hidden Valley Nature Trail is our main hiking destination for the tour and, in our opinion, is the most scenic nature hike in Joshua Tree National Park. We will be hiking this easy to moderate 1 mile loop which takes about 45 minutes to complete. You'll be surrounded by enormous granite rock formations and beautiful desert nature as you walk along the trail of hidden valley. You'll want to bring your camera and take lots of pictures. This is a fairly easy walk but if your group doesn't feel up to it we can do more driving and sightseeing instead.

4

Keys View is one of the four highest peaks in Joshua Tree National Park and you can see stunning views of the Coachella Valley and Transverse mountain ranges which lead into the Salton Sea and Palm Springs. On most days you can see the north edge of the Salton Sea.

5

Cap Rock Nature Trail is our last stop and is a quick and easy .03 mile loop which only takes 15 minutes but is well worth the short hike. You will be surrounded by the beauty of Joshua Tree National Park as you walk passed Cap Rock and the desert nature that surrounds it.

6

(An Optional Stop )Skull Rock might be one of the most popular rocks in the park. Located around Jumbo Rocks campground, It's an iconic metamorphic boulder which is shaped like a skull. Kids love Skull Rock. Joshua Tree National Park has lots of gorgeous boulders, some look like they are carved out and shaped by someone but it's just millions of years of erosion. Ask your tour guide about Skull Rock.
