Detailed itinerary

We begin the tour in Washington Park. It is a scenic 8-acre park in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood of Cincinnati. It was originally built as cemeteries. It was acquired by the city in the mid 1800's and turned into a beautiful Victorian Park. Today, the Park welcomes millions of individuals each year from all over, hosting over 300 events annually, including live music, public markets, outdoor fitness classes, children's activities and more.

Cincinnati Music Hall, is a classical music performance hall in Cincinnati, Ohio, completed in 1878 to host concerts, expositions and political events. It also has a haunted past! It now serves as the home for the Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Opera, May Festival Chorus, and the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra.

We stroll through this historic neighborhood for the first half of the tour. The area is full of unique local restaurants, shops and bars. Your guide will point out Italienate architecture and hand painted murals.

Cincinnati is a city of murals that tells the story of its famous residents, places and moments! Along the way, your guide will point out story-high colorful outdoor murals that each have a unique story to tell!

The second half of the tour takes place at Findlay Market. It is Ohio's oldest continuously operated public market and one of Cincinnati's most cherished institutions, welcoming more than one million visitors each year. Open Tuesday through Sunday year round, it is home to more than 50 full-time merchants selling meat, fish, poultry, produce, flowers, cheese, deli, ethnic foods and more.

We will have a short ride on the free Cincinnati Streetcar. Guests will receive a streetcar map and tips on where to go to see more of downtown Cincinnati after the tour concludes.

Wear comfortable walking shoes. The tour includes a total of 30-40 minutes of walking between stops.
All guests must check-in 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour.
We CANNOT accommodate nut, food allergies, egg allergies, low carb, diabetes, gluten free, vegan or lactose free.

Meeting point

We will meet at 10am at the northeast corner of Washington Park at the intersection of 14th and Race Streets, directly across the street from Losanti Restaurant.

Important notes

We gather 15 minutes before the start of the tour at the corner of Race and 14th Street, Cincinnati Ohio 45202, right at the entrance to Washington Park. Parking is located directly below Washington Park in an underground garage. Any guest who has an aversion to pork or is a vegetarian must notify Riverside Food Tours 48 hours prior to the tour to request a meatless option. We cannot accommodate those with food allergies, diabetes, low carb, low sodium, celiac disease, and other special dietary requirements. Although we ride the streetcar to Findlay Market, this is mainly a walking tour through historic Over the Rhine. Guests must be physically fit enough to walk a total of 1.5 miles throughout the 3-hour tour. For questions, call 513-289-0035.
