In the first place it’s a Pick up point … This is after Corralejo the biggest holiday resort in Fuerteventura. We visit it when we have pick ups here!

The Tefía Penitentiary Agricultural Colony was a concentration camp during the Franco dictatorship, located in the village of Tefía, belonging to the municipality of Puerto del Rosario on the island of Fuerteventura. Active between 1954 and 1966, it served for the confinement of common and political prisoners, and for the reeducation of male homosexuals. Here was also the first airport (airfield).

The ravine of Las Peñitas is an exceptional enclave on the island of Fuerteventura and is one of the most fascinating destinations that this island has to offer. This emblematic place is located in the protected natural area of the Betancuria Rural Park. Although the ravine of Las Peñitas extends from the city of Betancuria to the head of the ravine of Mal Paso, it is commonly known as "Las Peñitas" in relation to the section that is located just after the construction of the dam of the same name in 1937.

In and around the village, the money is mainly earned through agriculture and cattle breeding. For example, tomatoes are grown here and Tuineje is one of the places where goat meat and cheese comes from. The delicious tomatoes from Tuineje are known for their subtle taste.
