If you like to escape crowded Marrakech on a hot summer day, there's nothing better than a short escape to the fresh mountain air in Toubkal National Park. The mountain village Imlil is easy reachable from Marrakech and lies mostly below the snowline during wintertime.

You will be picked up in your Hotel or Riad in Marrakech in the morning and head direction High Atlas mountains. Stop on the way in Tahanaout to enjoy a panoramic view over the valley full of olive trees and an ancient Berber village to take some nice pictures. During the drive to Ouirgane, you'll experience the beautiful landscape with the traditional Berber villages in the green valleys. If you like, you can visit a local women's Argan oil co-operative and buy some nice souvenirs. You will pass by at a local family's home to see how they live and work in the small mountain villages and to enjoy some freshly brewed mint tea.
Soon you'll arrive at Imlil, which is the starting point for multiple day trekkings to Jebel Toubkal, the second highest mountain in Africa. Your local guide is already awaiting you for a scenic 1 hour walk around the village and surroundings of Imlil. If you don't feel like walking, you can relax and enjoy panoramic views on a terrace in the village. Lunch is served in a rural guest house from a local family.
Return transfer to Marrakech and drop off at your Hotel or Riad in the medina in the late afternoon.
