What you'll see

Kickoff your 10-11 hour day trip with hotel pickup from anywhere in Tbilisi. Visit the ancient capital of Georgia Mtskheta and the Svetitskhoveli cathedral (XI c . UNESCO sight) (45 minutes). Afterwards, you will have the chance to visit Jvari monastery (VI c. UNESCO sight) and enjoy a wonderful panorama over the ancient capital (30 minutes).

Moving forward, you will drive through Georgian military road towards Kazbegi/Stepantsminda. On the way you will visit Ananuri fortress on Jinvali dam (30 minutes). Pass by Gudauri Ski Resort, Georgian Russian as  called "friendship" monument, Cross Pass, and Kazbegi. Enjoy lunch on a wonderful terrace at Rooms Hotel Kazbegi, which overlooks the glacier Kazbegi 5,047 mt ASL (1 hour) or in an authentic Georgian restaurant in village Arsha. Upon finishing, drive towards the Trinity Monastery at 2,200 mt above sea level (in winter period the availability depends on weather condition and amount of snow on the road). Venturing up and down and site will last approximately 1.5-hours. Your day trip will conclude with drop-off back at your hotel in Tbilisi. Please note vehicles are equipped with free WiFi (upon request with limited MGbytes), a fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit. The drivers/guides have also passed advanced first aid training courses.
