At 8:00 am, the friendly tour guide will pick you up from your Chengdu downtown hotel lobby, have a comfortable transfer to start the highlight day trip in Chengdu.
As the pandas are very active in the morning, your will firstly visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda, also known as Panda Base, there you will see lovely giant pandas eating and playing, walk around the Panda base, see giant pandas, red pandas and even other rare animals, watch a 20-minute video to learn about giant panda research and breeding.
Then have approx. 2 hours driving to Leshan, have a delicious lunch at local restaurant, and take a cruise to visit the UNESCO listed World Heritage sites of Leshan Giant Buddha, witness the around 233-feet high statue of Maitreya in sitting posture, have a whole view of the Giant Buddha in its solemn stillness.
After the trip, the guide will transfer you back to the city and drop you off at your hotel to conclude.
