Visit the Capuchin Crypt and Museum with a 5-Star Licensed Guide. During this private experience you will explore the underground chapels beneath the Church of Santa Maria della Concezione dei Cappuccini. This unusual catacomb is decorated with real skeletons of around 4,000 friars of the Capuchin order, arranged in sculptures, lamps, mosaic-like shapes and various religious symbols. It's a thought provoking space with an interesting philosophy behind it. Your Expert Guide will introduce you to the medieval concept of ‘Memento Mori’ and the crypt’s fascinating history, along with interesting facts about the humanitarian work of the Capuchin order.
