Along the way you will learn a little bit about Bergallo’s history as a former palace, barracks and prison. The Bargello National Museum houses a rich art collection of sculptures, ceramics (maiolica), textile, tapestries, ivory, silver, armor and coins. Its treasures include Michelangelo’s Bacchus, Pitti Tondo (Madonna and Child), Brutus and David Apollo; Donatello's David and St. George Tabernacle; and other masterpieces from the 14-17th century.
