In less than 30 minutes you should reach the first island, Murano. This friazone of Venice is known as the “Island of Glass” due to its long glassmaking tradition, and you will have a chance to visit a local glass factory to learn about this old craft.

Stop 4

The next stop will be the charming Burano, which is one of the most photographed and painted places in Venice. Nearly all buildings on this island are painted in rich colors, creating a picturesque background for taking photos. There are also many little shops that sell handmade lace garments that are still made in a traditional way by local women.

Last but not least, you will visit Torcello, an ancient island where the first inhabitants of Venice had settled in the year 452. Discover archeological monuments from the Roman period, the magnificent Basilica Santa Maria Assunta, the Church of Santa Fosca, Devil's Bridge, and the famous Attila's Throne. At the end of the tour, you will return to Venice by vaporetto.
