About this experience

The guide lives and grew up in Pretoria so there will be lots of interesting stories of his school years 40 years ago and playing sports for the national and provincial teams.

The Voortrekker monument is not only beautiful, but it's also very interesting and the guide will be able to give you the history of South Africa and answer all questions about the past. The new museum as a big hit with original artifacts from the 1800's. This is the history of the Dutch immigrants who trekked through South Africa fighting many wars and eventual opening Johannesburg and surrounding areas to the GOLD RUSH
Our first President of South Africa Paul Kruger shows of his house as an example of the rich in those days.

The Union Buildings is a Herbert Baker designed building and a must for anyone visiting Pretoria and South Africa. Come see the beautiful huge Statue of Mr. Nelson Mandela

Stop 1

This is an amazing monument to the Afrikaans people and their life in South Africa. Your visit to this museum will give you a good idea of what it was like in the early days of South Africa.

Stop 2

Kruger House is the historical Pretoria residence of the Boer leader and President of the South African Republic, Paul Kruger. It was built in 1884 by architect Tom Claridge and builder Charles Clark. A must see for International visitors. Entrance fee included

A drive through the center of town and experience the beautiful Capital and Church Square where you can take a photo of the famous Paul Kruger on his horse. We also pass the beautiful buildings of the supreme court on the square.

Stop 4

We travel through Pretoria town and onto the Union Buildings where you will visit the Government buildings and get a good lookout at the suburbs and Jacaranda trees.

We take a drive through Hatfield, the University town. This is where most of the embassies are found. It's a beautiful drive and if we have time you can taste great coffees at my favourite cofffe shop.
