Lake Tuz(salt) was the second largest lake in Turkey with its 1,665 km² surface area and one of the largest hypersaline lakes in the world. It is located in the Central Anatolia Region, 105 km northeast of Konya, 150 km south-southeast of Ankara, and 57 km northwest of Aksaray. The round trip is approximately 5-6 hours trip. First, my driver will come to your hotel to pick you up. Salt Lake is approximately a 1-hour and 45-minute drive from Goreme. The best time to visit the salt lake is at sunset time. We will leave at 2 pm in winter and 3 pm in summer as the days are short in winter. You can spend 1-2 hours at the salt lake enjoying and taking pictures. Sometimes we can also see birds like flamingos. We will provide you with bottled water, juice, and something to eat for refreshment. After the tour when you are comfortable to come back. we will bring you back to your hotel.
