Detailed itinerary

1

For a hassle-free trip, we will arrange a private transfer service from your Fethiye hotel to Demre Harbour in a comfortable vehicle.

2

We’ll head to Demre harbour where the boat awaits you for the start of your trip to Kekova. Once the anchor is raised, away, we go!

3
Stop 3

Embark on a unique adventure around the Sunken City of Kekova and uncover its fascinating history. The ancient city of Dolchiste was submerged due to an earthquake in the 2nd century. The underwater ruins of this city are incredibly well-preserved and never fail to leave a lasting impression.

4

As this area is protected, swimming is not allowed here. However, you can explore the site by cruising along with the ruins on our boat, which has a glass window at the bottom. This gives you an opportunity to take incredible photos that you'll never forget.

5

Our boat will anchor in Kaleköy port, formerly known as ancient Simena, for an hour. During this time, you can explore this quaint and authentic village, which is home to castle ruins and a necropolis. A hike up the hillside will give you stunning views of the Kekova region. Alternatively, you can opt to swim in the crystal-clear blue waters and admire the Simena Castle from below.

6

Take a break for lunch and swimming at the serene Esmeralda Bay.

7

Take a refreshing swim break in Burç Bay, where natural springs keep the water cool and the ambience is peaceful.

8

We will make a stop at Gökkaya Bay, where you can enjoy the stunning natural beauty and take part in a variety of thrilling water sports.

9

Discover this intriguing, naturally-formed cave renowned for its large size and curved entrance.

10

Three out of the seven sea turtle species are present in the Mediterranean Sea. You can spot these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat at Karemlik Bay.

11

After the boat ride, we will anchor at Demre port for a visit to a nearby museum.

12

Starting from the visitor reception area, there are walking paths that will guide you past the Andriake ruins. The path will lead you to the last point which is a 2nd-century ancient granary. This granary has been converted into a Museum of Lycian Civilizations. Inside the museum, you will find a collection of artefacts from nearby Lycian cities that have stood the test of time and offer a glimpse into the region's ancient history.

13

Our tour takes us to the Santa Claus Museum located in the centre of Demre town. This beautiful archaeological building dates back to 520 AD and was originally constructed as a church in honour of St. Nicholas of Myra, a 4th-century patron saint. You can explore the ruins of this historic church and take a journey back in time to the days when the ancient city of Myra was still in existence.

14
Stop 14

"Take the opportunity to discover the most famous archaeological site in Demre! This is a true step back in time where you can observe some of the most significant ancient ruins of Myra, dating back to as far as the 5th century B.C. You will have plenty of time to explore the two highlights of this stop, including a Roman-style theatre (which is the largest in Lycia!) and eerie rock-cut tombs that are carved into the cliffs above."

15

We hope you enjoy all the unique and fascinating boat and land tour sights. We finish off the day by bringing you back to the beautiful town of Fethiye, where you can continue with your memorable holiday in Turkey.
