The Lares Trek to Machu Picchu is a true immersion into local villages outside of Cusco. This trek's slower pace & shorter daily mileage means plenty of time to explore the culture and traditions in the Lares Valley. From the alpine villages you’ll descend into the Sacred Valley, visit the famous salt mines, explore Ollantaytambo, a 3,5000 year old living Inca village, then train to Machupicchu town.
