The brilliant blue water gets its spectacular hue from a chemical reaction between volcanic minerals. A walk through the Tenorio Volcano National Park will take you along the riverbed. Here, you'll see (and smell) the Rio Celeste turn from a light turquoise color to a vivid one. You will also be able to admire the waterfall, which is fast becoming one of the most popular attractions in the country. During this tour you will walk through the primary Humid and Rain Forest, several species of fauna and exuberant flora are easily found in this ecosystem. You will visit a magnificent waterfall (Río Celeste waterfall), “Teñideros (where the water mixes and changes color) and the hot springs.
