The brilliant blue water gets its spectacular hue from a chemical reaction between volcanic minerals. A walk through the Tenorio Volcano National Park will take you along the riverbed. Here, you'll see (and smell) the Rio Celeste turn from a light turquoise color to a vivid one. You will also be able to admire the waterfall, which is fast becoming one of the most popular attractions in the country.
