Drive to Bateshwar
After breakfast, drive for about 1.5 hours in a private luxury car to Bateshwar. This historic town is renowned for its cluster of Lord Shiva temples and its vibrant annual cattle fair. On the way, nature enthusiasts can enjoy a safari along the Chambal River with a naturalist, where alligators, crocodiles, freshwater dolphins, and various bird species can be spotted.
At Bateshwar, situated on the banks of the Yamuna River, you will find a long line of temples—mostly dedicated to Lord Shiva. Some of these date back to the 12th century. While many have faded over time, others still stand intact, traditionally said to number 101. The main temple is especially striking, adorned with thousands of brass bells that create a resonant chime when rung together.
Lunch
After the visit, enjoy a short 20-minute drive to an eco-friendly lodge, where a freshly prepared lunch will be served.
Chambal Safari
Post lunch, proceed to the Chambal River, located about 20 km away, for a two-hour river safari. Travel in a motorized boat equipped with safety gear, accompanied by a naturalist who will share insights on the region’s rich flora and fauna. During the safari, spot Gharials basking in the sun and discover a variety of migratory and exotic bird species.
Return to Agra
After the safari, drive back to your hotel in Agra, marking the end of an eventful day.
