At 8:30am, you will be picked up from your centrally located Hohhot hotel, then head to the Five-Pagoda Temple. The Five-Pagoda Temple is the landmark of the city Hohhot. Though it is a Tibetan Buddhism Temple, this temple is combination of Han Chinese and Tibetan architectural style.
The tomb is covered by green grass, Zhaojun is one of the famous ladies in Chinese history, who married with a Hun's Khan about 2000 years ago for the Armistice agreement between Huns and China. Zhaojun Tomb is one of the existing largest tombs of Han Dynasty in China.
Dazhao Temple is the oldest and largest temple in Hohhot in the Inner Mongolia. It was built in 1580 in Ming Dynasty. Usually, the local people call it Silver Buddha Temple because there is a 2.5-meter-high silver statue of Sakyamuni in it. It is interesting to view the impressive buildings, splendid statues, delicate frescos, musical instruments and rich collection of Buddhist scriptures in the Dazhao Temple.
Mongolia Museum(Close on Monday) is a nice place to learn the history about Mongolian and Inner Mongolia. There are rich collections from pre-history time to modern time, which are excavated in this huge area. Moreover, the museum buildings are very impressive with Mongolian architectural style. Note this museum limits the daily visitors, we will arrange to visit the other spot instead if no tickets are available.
After sightseeing, you will be transferred back to your Hohhot hotel where the tour concludes.
