About this experience

Lugu lake is a pretty lake 180km from Lijiang in Yunnan Province, and it takes about 4 hours by car from Lijiang. This day tour will let you visit Lugu Lake with a local guide from Lijiang by private vehicle. The attractions include Lugu Lake Sighteeing Platform, Lining Sightseeing Platform, Mosuo Ethnic Group matriarchal village, and Lige Village. Chinese lunch is included, and pickup from your Lijiang hotel is at 7am.
Note: This is a very long day tour. It is suggested to choose 2-day tour if you have more time.

Detailed itinerary

At 7:00am, you will be picked up in the hotel lobby of your Lijiang hotel. Then you will take 40-min car ride to Lining Sightseeing Platform which is a fantastic place to view the zigzag mountain road and Yangtze River.

Then you will continue driving about 3 hours to Lugu Lake, which is a huge lake with an area of 50 square kilometer located in Sichuan and Yunnan Province. You will head to the Lugu Sightseeing Platform where you can view the picturesque lake and learn the history about the Mosuo Ethnic Group, who have been living here for thousand years and still keep the traditional matriarchal society.

Lige is one of the must-see places in Lugu Lake, where you will view the amazing lake. You will also take local boat to one of the islands to explore.
Later, transferred back to your Lijiang hotel where the day tour concludes.
