The plateau of Timenkar its one of the highest plateau 2100m in the this region. A full day trip. Thise very unique plateau offers you a nature and human richness and its still not discovered by tourists yet, even its only one hour from Marrakesh. You are in a totally different environment, there you have 13 villages to see and explore with different architecture, agriculture terraces and spectacular view to mountain Meldsen and the Ourika valley .

We will pick you up at 08h30 from your accommodation in Marrakech to the direction of the Atlas Mountains. After a 45 min. driving through olive tree groves and nurseries we will get to the little town of Laagerb. There we go to the open air berber market, which is set every Monday where the people who are living in the area come to buy their needs ore sell there stuff. During this time we will discover an old shopping tradition and you can meet and see al kind of different professions who are still alive in this area. From blacksmiths to saddle maker, wood carver, basket weaver, farmers selling there fruits, nuts, vegetables, spices, cookie and much more. There are hardly no other tourists in the market.

While crossing a diverse vegetation of maritime pines of Maghreb juniper we arrive on the plateau at 1900m. The breathtaking panoramic view of Marrakech and surroundings makes us pause for a moment.
While passing 13 different unique and typical villages, we have the possibility to stop where we like or to make small walks. The spectacular view of Mount Meltsen 3600 m, surpasses what we have already seen. We will have lunch in the typical Chiker village 2160m, on the terrace of our host family. Not only the tasty Tajin is unique, also the view on Mount Arjot which has a height of 3741 m and presents itself majestically.

After lunch we will take the zigzaging way down by Tadrart pass with a great view to Inghmer mount (3891m), enjoying the edge towards the river till Setti Fatma(1500m) possibility to go to the waterfall. Then we go return back to Marrakech.
