You'll visit the Gothic style castle of Inveraray, (closed 1st November - 31st March) home to the Dukes of Argyll and the seat of Clan Campbell. Take a walk to Kilchurn Castle, a stronghold which once belonged to member of the Clan Campbell, this one though is very different to Inveraray. This ruined castle on the banks of Loch Awe was once a fortress, a comfortable residence and then ended it’s days as a garrison stronghold before being destroyed by lightning. We’ll take the short walk in and explore this historic Castle.
