A central open-air plaza and the exposed brick and concrete structure characterize the Gabriel García Márquez Cultural Center, the work of architect Rogelio Salmona.

This temple, located on the corner of 11th Street and 4th Street, was declared a National Monument in 1975. The church has a central nave and two side naves and stands out for housing important works of religious art of colonial origin.

In the small square of Chorro de Quevedo, it is believed that Bogotá was founded on August 6, 1538.
