Naxos is really a big island to see everything in one day.What we offer you is the chance to see the highlights of Naxos in an 8h tour so you ll get an overall idea what Naxos is about,its history,its past and its present.
Especially about the north part of the island , driving on those whirlwind narrow streets isn t as easy as it seems and what we offer is the oppportunity to travel in safety and enjoy a day on the island.
On Tuesdays ,because archeological sites are closed, instead of Demeter s temple we visit Belonia tower and Panagia Drosiani church ,the oldest in Balcan peninsula

Our experienced escort on the way to the site in the bus will give you information about Demeter temple and there you ll pay your entrance fee ticket (4€ pp in cash only) and underyour escort s guidance you ll visit first the temple and then the museum located there.
On Tuesdays this site is closed so instead you will visit Bazeos Tower ,former monastery of 16th cen AD and nowadays cultural centre (5 Euro pp entrance fee)

Stop 2

Along with your escort , after walking in the heart of the village you ll visit the tradistional olivepress where your escort will explain how the olive oil procedure was years ago and then together you ll enjoy a live demonstation at the traditional pottery workshop. Here you ll learn what is sfouni or the cup of justice.

The neoclassical village of Naxos is here to show you class and art!From the bus stop along with your escort you will be led to the historical centre. You will be shown the highlights of the village such as citron distillery to try citron liquor ,visit FISH & OLIVE gallery ,PHOS gallery or just take photos in the picturesque village.

The marble village is one of its kind! Along with your escort ,you ll walk to the square,see towers and on your own you can walk in the marble cobbled streets ,the arches and visit museums such as Geological,art,folklore and Natural history museums.Don t get lost in the maze!! On Mondays/Wednesdays/Thursdays/Fridays/Sundays we have lunchbreak here. On Saturdays & Tuesdays (on ESSENCE FD TOUR) we don t have lunch break here the break duration will be 45-50'

A relaxing stop at the northest edge of the island where you can enjoy swimming or having a coffee and dessert or just stroll in the picturesque village taking photos .
On Tuesdays/Saturdays we have lunch break by the seashore so 90' break will be done here

The most impressive Archaic period statue on the island because of its size (10,5 m) lying on the ground. There are 56 steps to climb in order to get there but it s totally worth it !
