About this experience

Detailed itinerary

Meet up your friendly private guide at your hotel lobby and transfer to Liantang Water Village in Qingpu district.

Upon arrival, your guide will share with you the history and the local culture with you. There is a historical sauce and pickles shop “Fukang” which was built in 1919, you can see it from the exterior. Then, spend your afternoon to browse around the old alleyways as well as to take a relaxing boat ride to appreciate the tranquility. This 1000 years old town is also the home town of Mr. Chen Yun, one of the the Chinese Communist Party. You can learn more about him in Chen Yun Museum there.

In the late afternoon, head up to Xitang to see the beautiful sunset and stroll along the cobbled streets. Xitang is fun at night, you will see a lot of shops, restaurants and bars there. You will have dining experience right by the riverside to see the amazing view of the village when lights on.

After your tour is finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Shanghai.
