Detailed itinerary

1

Embark on a picturesque journey as you leave the vibrant city of Tallinn behind, heading towards the serene beauty of Lahemaa National Park. In just an hour, you’ll be immersed in lush forests, tranquil coastlines, and the untouched charm of Estonia’s natural wonderland.

2

As you enter the park, hear about the significance of Lahemaa, meaning "land of bays," which is home to primeval forests, small rivers, and diverse wildlife. Your guide will explain the park’s history and its importance to Estonia’s natural heritage.

3

Our first stop is Jägala Waterfall, the highest natural waterfall in Estonia. This picturesque site, with its rushing waters and surrounding nature, offers fantastic photo opportunities and a chance to take in the raw beauty of Estonia's landscape.

4

Continue your exploration with a visit to either Sagadi Manor or Palmse Manor. These historical estates, once home to German landowners, offer a glimpse into rural life in Estonia. Depending on the season, you may also enjoy unique exhibitions that showcase local nature and history. (Additional fees for manor exhibitions are not included.)

5

Next, we’ll head to the coastal area to visit an old Estonian fishing village. Depending on the season, you will visit Altja or Käsmu village. Wander through the traditional architecture and learn about the way of life in these historic villages. Enjoy a peaceful walk to the seaside, where you can take in breathtaking views of the coastline. In summer, sandy beaches are perfect for a swim, while in winter, you can even walk on frozen waters.

6

On the way back to Tallinn, we’ll take a walk through Viru Bog, a fascinating wetland landscape with a thick layer of peat and unique vegetation. As you stroll along wooden paths, your guide will share local folklore and stories about the spiritual significance of bogs in Estonian culture. This refreshing walk offers the opportunity to connect with nature and learn about the ecosystem of bogs.

7

Take a break for lunch at a local tavern (lunch not included in the price). Relax and enjoy some traditional Estonian cuisine in a charming setting before continuing your journey.

8

After a day filled with stunning nature, history, and culture, we’ll head back to Tallinn, concluding your Lahemaa National Park day trip.
