Pile City Gate is an ancient stone gate from the 16th century, located in the Croatian city of Dubrovnik and leading to the old town. Together with other military fortifications of Dubrovnik, the gate is included in the list of World Cultural Heritage Sites compiled by the UNESCO organization.

3

Luža Square is a busy Dubrovnik’s square located at the eastern end of the Stradun. It is bordered by façade of Sponza Palace, Clock Tower, Gradska Kavana Café, Theatre Marin Drzic, Knežev Dvor (Rector’s Palace), Dubrovnik’s Cathedral and eastern façade of Sveti Vlaho Church. This is one of the most impressive squares in town which also features Orlando’s Column and Onofrio’s small fountain.

4
Stop 4

The Walls of Dubrovnik are a series of defensive stone walls surrounding the city of Dubrovnik in southern Croatia. Ramparts were built in the outlying areas of the city, including the mountain slopes as part of a set of statues from 1272. The existing city walls were constructed mainly during the 13th–17th centuries. The walls run an uninterrupted course of approximately 1,940 metres (6,360 ft) in length, encircling most of the old city, and reach a maximum height of about 25 metres (82 ft).

5

The Cathedral of the Ascension of the Virgin Mary is a Catholic cathedral in the city of Dubrovnik, Croatia. It is the cathedral of the Dubrovnik Diocese, a monument of Italian Baroque architecture. The modern cathedral building stands on the site of several previous churches, the earliest of which dates back to the 6th century.

6
Stop 6

Orlando’s Column in Dubrovnik is a well-known monument situated in the very heart of the Old Town, in the centre of Luža Square right in front of St Blaise’s Church. The column, erected in 1418, features armoured knight Orlando who according to the legend, helped the people of old Dubrovnik defeat invaders in the middle ages and therefore helped Dubrovnik to remain a free trade city-state.

7
