A few years ago, the Municipality of La Ceiba decided to create a beach park on the western part of the city. The beach that was for years called the beach at the Colonia los Maestros, was transformed, and renamed the Paseo de los Ceibeños. This is by far the best public beach in town. The interventions included a parking lot, benches, and public lighting. These basic improvements made the area much more attractive to locals. Together with good public security, with the municipal police present in the area, the formula created one of the most popular public spaces in the city.

At the farthest end of La Ceiba, where the land opens up to the three floating islands of Roatan, Utila and Guanaja, the picturesque promenade allows people to enjoy the seafront. Paved walkways lined with white Victorian-style lamp posts, lead to the pier boardwalk that juts out into the sea from the main land. A gazebo shelter elevated on the steps and a playground add to the recreational elements of the place.

5

The central park is a hive of activity. It is a bustling hub of people and there are food and drink stalls as well as vendors of other items such as clothes. On the central park of Tegucigalpa Honduras lies the statue of Francisco Morazan Quezada national heroe and first president of the country national symbol.
