About this experience

Take a private 4hr food sampling tour with a local and friendly guide to Spitalfields and Borough markets and their surrounding areas, discovering the best of London's historical food markets. You will sample a variety of 8 delicious bites/drinks with a sprinkling of history included.
We will first visit Brick Lane and Spitalfields Market in the area which was Jack the Ripper's hunting ground, and then travel down to Borough market (oldest food market in London) on a double decker bus. We will finish the tour at the George, Charles Dicken's favourite traditional pub. A soft drink or alcoholic beverage is provided for you to enjoy.
This is a walking tour with a bus ride on public transport.

Stop 1

While walking along atmospheric Brick Lane, you will discover a wide variety of delicious foods including world-famous Beigels, Turkish Gyleme, Ghanan chocolate, Chai tea or coffee and Indian sweets, while telling you about the area's history. We will then travel down to Borough Market on a traditional red double decker bus if required.

Stop 2

We will sample Great British foods in the oldest food market in London, including traditional fish and chips and sausage rolls

Stop 3

Enjoy an alcoholic beverage or a soft drink at The George, an authentic coaching inn and pub. Established 1526, it is one of the oldest pubs in London. Both Shakespeare and Charles Dickens enjoyed a drink there. We will part ways there and I will leave you to enjoy your drink and explore the area.
