Madonna Estate wines have been handcrafted by the Bartolucci Family, Napa Valley winegrowers and winemakers for over a century. They are created from 100 percent organically grown grapes, which are dry farmed on the estate vineyard.

Located in the world-renowned Carneros region of the Napa Valley, the Bartoluccis take great pride in the wines they craft. Through great skill, elegance and care, Madonna Estate wines are styled to capture the best of the vintage, the vineyard, and the variety.

Mayo Family Winery, established in 1993, is a family-owned winery in Sonoma Valley. It specializes in handcrafted, single-vineyard wines, producing over 20 unique varieties each year, including sparkling wines, chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Pinot Meunier, Grenache, Alicante Bouschet, and more. Their selection also features Zinfandel Ports and dessert wines.

To many people, Sonoma—just 45 miles from San Francisco—means wine. But when you drink in the surroundings on the eight-acre Sonoma Plaza—the state’s largest historic plaza, lined by restaurants, shops, and hotels—it’s hard to ignore the area’s non-vine history. During a lunch break, we’ll make a stop at Downtown Sonoma Square where you will enjoy leisure time to explore. This destination affords a wonderful variety of eclectic dining options and one-of-a-kind boutique shops and local art galleries.

Stop 6

Castello di Amorosa is the realization of an all-consuming passion. Fourth generation winemaker Dario Sattui built an authentically styled 14th century Tuscan castle winery to honor his Italian heritage and deep love for medieval architecture.

But it all started with wine.

Dario is the great grandson of pioneering vintner Vittorio Sattui, an Italian immigrant who founded St. Helena Wine Cellars in 1885. The Sattui family lived at the winery, even after Prohibition closed the business in 1920. Dario was always fascinated by the stories and photos of the old winery. As a child, he would play in the winery's underground cellars and dream of reviving the family business.

7

one of the best wineries in the region, especially if you love the bold reds (their Zinfandel and Cab Sauv are divine!). Absolutely beautiful location with many areas to sit and enjoy the beauty of the vineyard.
