We will cross the rural area of the town, arriving first at La Pelota, where you can see three statues located very close to where they were originally found, as well as vestiges of an original mound.
A few meters away from there is El Purutal, where there are four more statues of which two still retain the original coloration that many other monoliths in the area are believed to have once had.
Next, we will continue to El Tablón, an archaeological site where five statues of approximately 2 meters are exhibited, classified as female, and where there is a small ethnographic museum organized by the residents of Vereda El Tablón.
We will then leave for La Chaquira, an archaeological site where we find different human and animal figures carved in volcanic stone overlooking the impressive canyon of the Magdalena River, one of the most spectacular panoramic views that can be seen in San Agustin.
