Stop 1

Tour starts at 8:00 am, the tour guide will meet you at your centrally located Chengdu downtown hotel lobby, enjoy comfortable transfer to your first stop.

One of travelers’ main objectives in Chengdu is to see the lovely Pandas, you will firstly come to the Chengdu Research Center of Giant Panda Breeding (Panda Base) which provides the best possible environment for rearing and breeding of Pandas. There you will see lovely furry giant pandas of all ages eating and playing with each other, and you will also have a chance to see the very cute baby pandas in the morning. Enjoy your time with Pandas and other rare and endangered wild animals.

Stop 2

Then head to Leshan for your next stop of Leshan Giant Buddha. Lunch is at your own expense, your guide is always happy to recommend good restaurant for you to taste local food.

In the afternoon, you will explore the Leshan Giant Buddha included by UNESCO on the list of the World Heritage sites. You could take a boat to have a whole view of the sitting Maitreya statue or walk into the park to discover the stone statue of Maitreya carved on a cliff. Measuring about 233-feet high, this Buddha with serious expression is the largest stone Buddha in the world whose carving work took about 90 years.

Afterwards, drive back to Chengdu and drop you off at the hotel, the full-day Chengdu highlights tour ends.
