In the morning, your private tour guide and professional driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby at 8 am. Then, you will be transferred to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda, also known as Panda Base, which is the home to nearly 50 giant pandas and red pandas. The habitat is exquisitely designed with luxurious trunks of bamboo. You will catch pandas feeding time at around 9:30 am as they are most active during this time of day. There, you will see furry adorable giant pandas of all ages eating and playing with each other. Later, you can watch a 20-minute video to learn about giant panda research and breeding in a small theater.
Lunch will be left to your own arrangement and expense; however, your tour guide could offer suggestions for authentic Sichuan cuisine at nearby local restaurants.
Next, your guide will escort you to Wide-and-Narrow Alleys where you will find the Panda Post Office within its proximity. It is the only postal service in the world with giant panda as its theme where you can buy everything featuring giant pandas from stamps, postcards, albums, envelopes to toys, and souvenirs. Have your postcards stamped with the panda logo in various forms and sent to your family, relatives, and friends anywhere in the world by the giant panda themed post office which also has its own post code of 610088.
Later, head to Chunxi Road to take photos with the largest Panda Sculpture created by preeminent artist Lawrence Argent that is absolutely interesting. At the end of the tour, your guide and driver will transfer you back to your hotel where this lovely panda tour concludes.
