About this experience

The Old Wine Route is located south of Ensenada approximately 25 miles (40 km). It is made up of the 3 oldest valleys in the region: La Grulla, Santo Tomas de Aquino and San Vicente Ferrer. On this route you will find the first wineries and oldest vineyards where wine was made for the first time in Baja California, resulting in wines of the highest quality.
About the tour
You will be picked up from your hotel or Airbnb in Ensenada, Valle de Guadalupe between 9:45 am and 10:00 am. During this 6-hour excursion you will be transferred to the Santo Tomas de Aquino Valley on the Old Wine Route.

Stop 1

Our first stop (1 hour)will be at Bodegas de Santo Tomas, you will have the opportunity to taste the labels Mexican lines (included in the price) and learn more about the first wine producers in the region. Santo Tomas founded in 1888 is the Baja California’s oldest internationally known vineyard for its excellent wines. The area where they produce the wine is a round building in the middle of the vineyards, designed by Alejandro D'Acosta.

At this second stop you can taste labels from the Basic line (included in the price) accompanied by cheeses, ham and regional products.
