About this experience

The 7 Ausangate Lagoons is a beautiful day trip where you can see several turquoise lakes, belonging to the Vilcanota Mountain Range, and you will also be close to the Ausangate Mountains, which are the highest mountains in Peru.

At the end you will enjoy the hot springs with a beautiful view of the mountains.

Detailed itinerary

04:00 – 04:30 | Hotel pickup.
Our team will pick you up at your accommodation to begin this adventure. Make sure you are ready at the scheduled time and don't forget to bring warm clothes for this tour!

04:30 – 07:30 | Journey to Pacchanta.
It will take us about 3h30 to reach Pacchanta from Cusco. On the way you will be able to see the sunrise and the beautiful landscapes along the route.

07:30 – 08:30 | Stop for breakfast.
Once we are in Pacchanta, we will stop for breakfast to give us more energy and warm up before we start the hike.

08:30 – 12:00 | Walk to the 7 Lagoons.
It will take us about 3h30 to visit all the lagoons on the way up. This opportunity will allow you to discover these magical lagoons and all the mysticism that surrounds them!

12:00 – 14:00 | Return to Pacchanta.
After visiting the 7 lagoons, we will return to the small town of Pacchanta to rest from our tour before heading to the next part.

2:00 pm – 3:00 pm | Lunch time.
Upon arrival in Pacchanta, we will head to a restaurant to enjoy delicious Andean food, where the region’s endemic flavors will delight our palate.

3:00 pm – 3:40 pm | Pacchanta Hot Springs (optional).
If you wish, you can take a bath in the Pacchanta hot springs. Remember that this is an optional activity; if you do not wish to do this activity, you will have free time to explore the surroundings of this magical village.

3:40pm – 6:30pm | Return to Cusco.
Now it’s time to rest and relax as we cross the Andes back to the Imperial City of the Incas. We’ll arrive in Cusco around 6:30pm.
