About this experience

Tour from the heart of Surfers Paradise to a pristine Gold Coast Island, only accessible by boat!

Cruise along the Nerang River, through to the Gold Coast Broadwater passing Southport Yacht Club, Marina Mirage and SeaWorld to visit the famous Pelican Feeding where over a hundred Pelicans arrive in time for their lunch and our visit!

Then Beachcomber will anchor at Wavebreak Island here guests will be provided with their Picnic basket and can choose to stay aboard or go to shore to enjoy their Cheese and Fruit Platter and a glass or two of Prosecco (for guests 18+).

Fishing at Wavebreak Island is also an option! Guests can experience the fun of yabby pump for bait and borrow one of Beachcomber's fishing rods to cast a line from the beach!

While at Wavebreak Island, guests are welcome to use all the beach float toys that we have available, such as Aqua Mat and fun float rings!

Detailed itinerary

Travel by 'Beachcomber' boat from central Surfers Paradise, passing the glamorous houses along the Nerang River as we head out to the Gold Coast Broadwater.

Guests travel from Nerang River out into the Gold Coast Broadwater. We'll pass the Southport Yacht Club and Marina Mirage where guests can get a good view of the visiting Super Yachts! We then pass attractions such as SeaWorld on our way to Wavebreak Island. Keeping watch for the resident dolphins, dugongs and other resident wildlife that call the Gold Coast Broadwater 'home'.

Our 1pm Charter will take us to view the famous Pelican Feeding - where close to one hundred wild pelicans fly in for their lunch time feed. We'll bring 'Beachcomber' boat to shore so that guests can disembark at this point to get a closer look at the excitement!

Be castaways on Gold Coast's famous Wavebreak Island! During this time you can enjoy your picnic of a Cheese & Fruit platter as well as a couple of glasses of Prosecco to wash it down with! (or soft drinks /sparkling water if preferred). Beachcomber's boat floats and toys will be tied up alongside so guests can take a dip in the crystal clear waters of Wavebreak Island while they enjoy this part of the Gold Coast that is only accessible by boat.

Stop 5

As we head back to our departure point we will take the scenic route home, around the remainder of Wavebreak Island and past the southern end of South Stradbroke Island and the Gold Coast Seaway as we head back south towards the Nerang River.
